FOIL ASSIST BOARD
Introducing our Foil Drive dedicated platform – the Pulse. The Venture 66 is a great Foil Drive platform but we couldn’t help ourselves from wanting more. Thinner, stiffer, more efficient and yet without the inconvenience already seen in some dedicated foil assist decks.
The Pulse delivers a “trench” style board with the power unit recessed into the hull reducing drag on take offs and touch downs, removing the additional 5cm of mast the unit gives you and massively increasing stiffness with only 20mm between the top of the Foil Drive and the base of your foot.
Countless hours of research and testing have delivered faultless RF signal transmission allowing us to remove the foam from inside the tracks and design a Smart Trench. Simply release the tension on the fixing bolts and slide the unit backwards for simple, fast and safe battery swap outs.
Light, Stiff and incredibly tactile…. If you are serious about your Foil Drive you should be equally serious about the board you ride it with and the Pulse delivers on all sides.

Featuring a much lower nose scoop than the Venture the rocker of the Pulse is specifically designed for a board powered by a foil assist. Low resistance at slower speeds and plenty of forgiveness for un-foreseen touchdowns
Initially designed to eliminate the drag of the Foil Drive body and allow easier take offs with smaller foils and less drag when touching down in chop, the trench also brings a massive benefit in control and feel of the board and foil. The Pulse utilises a Smart Trench allowing battery swap outs by simply loosening the bolts and sliding the foil backwards a few cm. Fast, Easy and Safe for the foil.
A combination of research and testing, a complicated arrangement of windows and construction techniques ensures the Pulse gives faultless RF signal transmission even when the board is submerged – rare for a full carbon board.
Our bespoke tracks allow perfect RF signal transmission and when used with the included Paired Track Nuts allow simple battery changes and a good range of tuning options for the foil position.
The Pulse feathers a proportional outline meaning the ratio of width to length increases as the volume increases – the 5’2” 40l has a higher aspect ratio and the 5’6” a slightly lower aspect one. Width is one of the most critical dimensions for standing and balancing on the board before foiling but also responsible for a lot of sub-foiling drag. Optimising the width per length provides early starting boards with the stability you would expect for the size.
The Nose of the Pulse features a subtle double concave better releasing the water at sub-foiling speeds and ensuring great resistance to stalling during un-wanted touch downs.
The double concave washes out around 1/3rd of the way into the board and blends perfectly into the flat base ideal for generating speed achieving flight
The classical rounded nose is safer than a more pointed version in the event of crashing onto the board and offers both a longer waterline length (great for achieving take off speed) and less chance of catching during touch downs than a squared off version.
Added volume helps the board to glide better at sub-foiling speeds and aids in volume distribution for stability
Nose Protection Pad – supplied as standard with all our boards the NPP saves your board from damage when mounting the foil
Gore-Tex vent – working automatically this vent balances the pressure inside the board in extreme cold or heat reducing the possibility of delamination – DO NOT TOUCH this vent! As an added benefit the vent allows the wireless signal from foil assists to escape the board giving near perfect connectivity
One piece deck pad – covering the entire riding area our pad features a thermos-formed top surface with CNC cut diamond grooves for the ultimate in comfort and grip in all temperatures and in both salt and fresh water. The discreet markings allow strapless riders to accurately locate their feet whilst riding
xSurf Tangle free leash – a foil specific design engineered to reduce leg tangles and be as un-obtrusive as possible whilst riding. The 7mm diameter ensures you won’t lose your board no matter the conditions. Available with Ankle, Calf or Waist cuffs
